Building Access, Building Community

At Trussworks Operations, we believe our work doesn’t stop at the job site. Once a month, a few of our team members dedicate their time and tools to a special kind of project—partnering with the Caldwell Men’s Lions Club to build wheelchair ramps for individuals in our community who need safe, accessible entry into their homes.

This month’s project was no exception. Our crew gathered with other volunteers to construct a sturdy, pressure-treated wood ramp for a local resident. It was more than just lumber and screws—it was freedom, independence, and peace of mind for someone who needed a safe way in and out of their home.

From measuring and cutting boards to securing handrails and ensuring every angle met ADA-accessible guidelines, the team poured their hearts (and muscle) into every step. It’s a labor of love that’s as rewarding for us as it is for the recipients.

It’s moments like these—smiles shared, hands dirtied, and problems solved—that remind us why we do what we do. At Trussworks, we build more than structures. We build connections. We build community.

We’re proud to stand alongside the Caldwell Men’s Lions Club and look forward to continuing this tradition of service, one ramp at a time.
