My truss journey began at age 16 when I was employed by Stark Truss Inc. at their Canton, Ohio facility. My father at the time was vice president of operations and he wanted me to learn the business from the ground up. I started working in the yard as a bander and fell in love with the industry immediately. I was very blessed to have started my career at Stark and get to witness the outcome of a living legend in the industry by the name of Abner Yoder. Abner Yoder inadvertently showed me what a leader is supposed to be for his followers. I was amazed by how everyone in the plant had a personal story with him and I strive to be that for all our family here at Trussworks. After Stark I worked at two other truss plants and one lumber yard. I was very fortunate to have worked at other facilities because I got to see a lot of different ways to run a truss manufacturing company. All of this experience has brought me to Trussworks and the future is very bright for this team and I truly believe we have the best in the business.
